Why Summit Elementary School is fundraising for clean water

There are 663 million people in the world living without access to clean water. Let's change that!

Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean!

At Summit our mission is to Excel and Lead. We do this in many ways. One way is by being good citizens and that means globally too! Third graders are meeting our mission by synergizing to apply academic principals to real world problems, like the water crisis. We are launching a campaign through an organization called charity: water. We will set a goal for how much money we would like to raise, research the issue, and host a "Goods for the Good of Others" garage sale in our Village Center on May 5th to meet our campaign goal.

Please donate to my campaign -- anything you can give is a huge help.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
