The Experience Lab combines immersive storytelling, cutting-edge technology, and sensory-rich exhibits to transport you into the reality that 703 million people on our planet face every day.
The Factory in Franklin, Tennessee
The Experience Lab is an immersive storytelling exhibit about humanity’s search for water and the work of charity: water — a non-profit organization working to bring clean and safe water to every person on the planet.
Experience water in its most powerful and transformational form. Understand what a world without it looks like. See what’s lurking in your water through a microscope. Walk for water with a girl in Uganda. Learn how we can solve the world’s water crisis in our lifetime and how you can help.
Visits to The Experience Lab are free, but reservations are needed for the 60 minute, guided tour.
Kids are welcome! The space was designed for all ages to learn and experience.
The Experience Lab is no museum — please do touch the exhibits. This journey is designed for hands-on learning.
From neon green to vaguely maroon to classic beige, we’ve seen dirty water in every shade imaginable. Dirty water comes in all different colors but clean water always looks the same: clear. And that’s the way it should be.
Pick up a Jerry can and join Esther from Uganda on her daily walk for water. This 4-D experience will immerse you in the challenge of walking for water.
Be transported to Uganda and witness a day that changed 10-year-old Grace’s life forever: the day her community got clean water.
Hours of Operation:
Public Tours are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 12pm - 5pm.

charity: water is a nonprofit organization bringing clean and safe water to the 703 million people still living without it. We use 100% of every dollar donated publicly to fund water projects around the world, and we rely on a small group of generous private donors to fund all of our operating expenses so you don’t have to.
