Hey hi hello,
It's that time again! My birthday is less than a month away and, as usual, I'm looking to celebrate by raising money for charity: water!
While you're sipping your $5 latte, 1,400 children are dying daily from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation.
But it doesn’t have to be that way.
There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections, and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.
I started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world, and I'm looking for anyone who can help me. I know a lot of folks are skeptical about donating money to an organization...but I've volunteered with the folks at charity: water in their NYC office and have been fundraising for them for YEARS. They are LEGIT. I promise. I'm a journalist. Research is what I do best.
I encourage you to better the world in the name of me getting older.
Plus, 100% (yes, really) of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped!
