Anyone who has known me for more than a few hours could probably tell you that I’m not much of a runner. And by that I mean that I DO NOT like to run. (Unless I’m playing a sport or being chased, of course.)

Recently, however, I’ve been thinking about my life—and just how good I have it. Looking at the other end of the spectrum, there are people in this world (almost a BILLION of them, in fact) that don’t even have a glass of clean water to drink. That blows my mind.

Fortunately I was able to go to Pittsburgh in May to support my friend Andy Rebhun as he ran and completed his first marathon, in support of the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s research. To see him raise more than $5,000 for this great cause and to see how his effort so positively affected people’s lives inspired me to do something for a cause that I believe in.

On October 21st, my friend Andy and I will be lacing up our running shoes and putting feet to pavement to run a half marathon. My goal is to raise $4,000—enough to help 200 people!—for charity: water. It's going to take a lot of determination, endurance, strength, a whole lot of moral support…but I know that I can do this.

Please help me achieve my goal by donating whatever you can via this website. You can pledge per mile, you can give a lump sum when I complete the half marathon, or you can just donate whatever and whenever you want in the next three months. And the best part? 100% of all donations go directly to water projects.
