I’m Arav, and I need your help to get clean water to those who need it. 1000s of kids my age get sick, can't go to school, can't play because they don't have clean water.

Two years ago, I did my first charity:water campaign, which helped fund a project to build a well for the Maetsido community in Ethiopia. That picture above shows the well that was built and how many people it helped. I love that the folks at charity:water were able to help them, but there are still millions of people who don’t have access to clean water. That’s why I’m doing my 3rd campaign to raise money for more projects that will help the awesome, caring and hard-working people at charity:water and their partners bring clean water to entire villages, families and children.

One of the cool projects we did at my school this year is called “Permanent City”, in which we worked as urban planners to create a city. One of the things I realized as we built schools, bakeries, apartment buildings and playgrounds is that we don’t have to worry about getting clean water. We just get it from our faucets. But there are kids in other countries who can’t go to school or play because they have to walk 5 hours to get water a pond. We need to change that.

So I’m once again giving up birthday presents so people can donate to this campaign instead. This year, I also plan to visit schools and other parts of my community to tell folks about the water crisis and raise money for water projects. All the money collected will help fund a long-lasting water project that will provide clean water for people in need.
