1000s of kids my age get sick, can't go to school, can't play because they don't have clean water. I want to help!

My birthday is almost here. I'm always excited to get another year older, and 6 is a big number. I'm a big kid now, almost ready for 1st grade. But this year I learned that millions of kids around the world don't live to see their sixth birthday because they don't have access to clean, safe drinking water. They don't get to go to school, or play with their friends, or spend time with their parents, because they have to walk miles to get water, which is often dirty and bad for them.

When I learnt this, I knew I wanted to do something to help those kids and their families. So I'm asking everyone I know to give money to this campaign instead of giving me a birthday present. All that money, every penny, helps scientists get clean water to families by directly funding clean water projects in developing countries. Best of all, charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 18 months). That means that we'll all get to see on a map the locations and names of the communities we helped (and I love maps).
