On 21st June, I’ll be running the Midnight Sun Half Marathon in Tromsø, where the sun never sets in summer time, in support of charity: water, a cause that’s incredibly close to my heart.
Right now, 703 million people around the world still don’t have safe water to drink. Water is everything. It’s the key to health, food, education, and opportunity, especially for children, girls and women, who's job often is to collect water. Clean water means fewer hours spent collecting it and more time in school, playing, and exploring the world. Having lived on a narrowboat over the past 2 years, I’ve had a small glimpse into what it’s like to be mindful of water use. But for millions of people, clean water isn’t just a convenience, it’s life-changing.
Every £30 raised will provide a lifetime of clean water to one person. Most importantly, 100% of every pound you donate will go directly to providing the life-changing gift of clean water where it’s needed most. charity: water will even report back with details of where your money went, and how it’s helping.
This time last year, I could barely run 5K. I used to hate running!! And when I moved onto my boat, and kept hearing runners along the canal, it encouraged me to give it a go. And I love a challenge, so when I sign up for something, I make sure it’s somewhere magical, like running through the Arctic Circle under a never-ending sun. A full marathon might not be on the cards just yet, but for me, this half is already something I never thought I could do.
If you’d like to support my run and bring clean water to those who need it most, please consider donating. Every pound makes a difference. Thank you!
Trop forte Maud !! Bravo, you can do this 🔥 🩵

Go Maud! Go! Thanks for believing in clean water 💧 💛
