goal

Giving clean water to those without by rowing 100km at 70.

Water is essential to life. You cannot do without it. Water makes up between 50% and 70% of your body mass. You, I, and everyone on the planet need to drink 2 to 2.5 litres of water daily, more if you are pregnant or live and work in the heat.

Unfortunately, over 700 million people worldwide lack basic access to clean and safe drinking water.

So, I am using my 70th birthday this April to row over 100 km on a Concept2 to raise £7,000 for charity: water to fund clean water projects in regions where water is scarce or undrinkable.

Jeremy pinned an update

Yesterday, supported by many from the village, I completed my challenge of rowing 100 km in April. I have raised just under £1,500, and have received a pledge of a further £2,000 from a charitable foundation.

Thank you for your donation to charity: water. I'll keep this page open for a few more days, so please spread the word around to your family and friends and ask them to add to your donation.
