goal

Giving clean water to those without by rowing 100km at 70.

Water is essential to life. You cannot do without it. Water makes up between 50% and 70% of your body mass. You, I, and everyone on the planet need to drink 2 to 2.5 litres of water daily, more if you are pregnant or live and work in the heat.

Unfortunately, over 700 million people worldwide lack basic access to clean and safe drinking water.

So, I am using my 70th birthday this April to row over 100 km on a Concept2 to raise £7,000 for charity: water to fund clean water projects in regions where water is scarce or undrinkable.

You can find out more at wordsnotdeeds.co.uk/rowing-challenge.

Please donate generously.

Please support me in my 70th birthday campaign to raise £7,000 to fund clean water projects run by charity: water.

This first week of the challenge has been quiet. I rowed my 10,000m with no problem and raised £300, so some way to go yet.

Next week will be tougher, so please support my cause. Thank you. J
