Donate by Check
Make checks payable to charity: water. If you're donating in honor of someone, sponsoring a water project or want to direct your donation to our operating costs, please write that in the memo of your check.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept donations to The Spring via check.
Tax receipts will be mailed within four to six weeks after the donation has been processed.
International Giving
charity: water is a registered charity in the UK. To make a tax-efficient donation in GBP, visit charitywateruk.org. For other international donations, we accept bank issued money orders in USD. Money orders should be made payable to charity: water and can be mailed to the address below. For donations over $6,000, we also accept wire transfers; email info@charitywater.org for more information.
Please note, only donations made by eligible US taxpayers may be tax-deductible.
Donate Stock
We're able to accept donations in the form of stock, government (including municipal) debt and corporate debt through the Depository Trust Company (DTC). For security, settlement and reduced paperwork, electronic transfer through the DTC is preferred. This can be arranged from most brokerage accounts.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept donations to The Spring via stock.

Hey Guys,
People say after a certain age birthdays do not remain as much fun as they used to be when we were kids and that they only serve as a reminder of the fact that you are growing older. But then again as you grow older, you do grow wiser and become more aware of the situation around you.
Around 6 months back I came across a Ted talk which spoke about Charity:water and the work that they are doing to solve the problem in this world with millions of people not having access to clean water. It made me aware of the crisis that we are facing around the world right now. Here is a short video that explains the water crisis in most parts of the world.
It also made me aware of the fact that over 800 MILLION people do not have access to clean water and I feel there is something that we can all do about this.
This year, I'm giving up my birthday for charity: water.
Instead of giving me presents or cakes, or writing on my Facebook wall, please donate $26 (or whatever amount you feel fit) for my 26th birthday, and help me bring clean water to people in need.
What's really cool is that 100% of the money we raise will directly fund water project costs in the field, and charity: water will prove every single dollar. When the project we help fund is complete, they'll send us a digital completion report with GPS coordinates and photos of the community we helped.
I can't think of a better way to celebrate my birthday than by giving the gift of clean water to people in need. Please join me and help me make this the best birthday ever!!
