Donate by Check
Make checks payable to charity: water. If you're donating in honor of someone, sponsoring a water project or want to direct your donation to our operating costs, please write that in the memo of your check.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept donations to The Spring via check.
Tax receipts will be mailed within four to six weeks after the donation has been processed.
International Giving
charity: water is a registered charity in the UK. To make a tax-efficient donation in GBP, visit charitywateruk.org. For other international donations, we accept bank issued money orders in USD. Money orders should be made payable to charity: water and can be mailed to the address below. For donations over $6,000, we also accept wire transfers; email info@charitywater.org for more information.
Please note, only donations made by eligible US taxpayers may be tax-deductible.
Donate Stock
We're able to accept donations in the form of stock, government (including municipal) debt and corporate debt through the Depository Trust Company (DTC). For security, settlement and reduced paperwork, electronic transfer through the DTC is preferred. This can be arranged from most brokerage accounts.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept donations to The Spring via stock.

Let us do something to bring smiles to the faces and make this world a cheerful place.
It is my birthday on the 22nd of June and like last year I have decided to give up my birthday this year for a cause. I am lucky to have been introduced to this through some talks and videos that I had seen and also some friends who donate to this cause every year. The cause that I am talking about is called charity: water and it works to help people get clean and usable water by digging wells and creating awareness about the importance of clean water. The importance of clean and usable water is often underestimated by us all since we are fortunate enough to get good quality water for most part of the day if not all 24 hours. But this is not true for a lot of people in different parts of the world. There are people on this very planet who do not have access to clean water and have to fight diseases and other factors for a basic necessity like water. We can do something about it and here is our opportunity to support people who are actively working on this issue.

That is one reason why I love the work that this charity does. They are very transparent about where the money that you donated went and how it was used. Also every dollar that you donate will go towards water projects. For any donation that you make, be it $1 or more, you will receive a detailed report with GPS coordinates about where the well was built and how many people were helped with the project.

I had a similar project last year for my birthday and we raised about $551 and that money is currently being used in Rwanda, Africa for building wells. If you did donate last year, you would have received an email about that project and you will keep getting updates from the project and see the money that you donated in action. Hopefully this year I can get an even better support from each one of you and hopefully bring more smiles around this world.
