I've given up my birthday for clean water in the past, but this time, it is extra special because I'll be celebrating my birthday in the charity: water office!
(Come on guys, don't make me look bad...)

When I first started following the works of charity: water five years ago, there were 1 billion people in the world without clean water. Today? There are 800 million. At charity: water, we know it's possible to solve the water crisis and with it empower women, allow kids the chance to stay in school, and resolve the most common causes of death in developing countries.

Millions of kids around the world don't live to see their fifth birthday because they don't have access to clean, safe drinking water. We can help change that.

I'm asking for my age in dollars from everyone I know. Every penny of the money raised will directly fund clean water projects in developing countries. Even better, charity: water will show you exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 18 months). That means we'll know the locations and names of the communities we helped.
