Charity:Water is 10!! In celebration they want 10,000 people to donate $30 monthly and my sister and I wish to help.

7 years ago I pledged my 8th birthday for clean water. Now my little sister, Tyler, is joining me and doing the same. As I turn 15 in September and Tyler turns 8 in November we encourage you to donate $23 as we are going to give up our presents and ask for this amount of money instead.

Our goal is to raise $2,000 with our birthdays but we also seek to get 23 monthly donors as part of our mission, (15 + 8 = 23). My family of six and I are starting by becoming monthly donors ourselves. Each month Tyler and I are going to raise awareness by doing an activity throughout our community. These activities will signify the $30 dollars we are donating that month.

The water crisis is solvable but only if we take action. Women and children spend their whole lives walking for water, never getting a chance to have such things as education or health. We take water for granted without even questioning it so this year we are going to change that.

We can't sit and wait for someone else to come along and change the world. That is our job and we are not going to fail. The water crisis will end in our lifetime, thanks to you. :)
