I can't believe this is the 7th birthday I'm celebrating with charity:water! Each year as my birthday nears, I consider if I should create a fundraising campaign for my friends and family to get involved in and each year the statistics surrounding the water crisis compel me to join the movement. Numbers like 663 million and 1,400 ring in my head. 663 million people around the world don't have access to clean water and 1,400 children die daily from water related illnesses.
Over the last 10 years charity:water has brought clean water to over 6 million people in 24 different countries. They have funded over 20,000 water projects! The work being done is incredible and we get to be a part of this beautiful legacy.
This year I celebrate my "Golden" birthday turning 28 on September 28th and I'm so excited to share it with charity:water. I ask you, family and friends, to consider giving what you can. Forfeit a drink at Starbucks this week or dinner out and change the world with me. Let's be the generation that ends the water crisis!
