Back at it again. I'm so pumped to include charity:water in my Dirty 30 this year! If you've known me for any length of time you probably know how much I love this organization and the amazing work they do to improve the world in which we live. The fact that they use 100% of the money raised through campaigns to fund water projects around the world is just incredible.
Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean and probably the water in our swimming pools (before we add the chlorine).
So many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children DIE from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. We can change this! There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.
I started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build these types of projects around the world. For my Dirty 30, I'm asking you to celebrate with me by donating $30 (or $3,000 whatever... I don't want to limit you ;). If you can only donate $1 that's fine too because like I said every dollar goes to the field!
Feel free to check out some of my previous campaigns to see the impact that has already been made and check out charity:water's website to see all the ways they're working to positively impact the world. When the project that our money goes to is complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped; which is pretty freaking awesome.
