Many of us don't know what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink - even the water in our toilets is clean!

But many people around the world don't have this luxury. Every day, around 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn't have to be this way. There are simple solutions like boreholes, spring protections and BioSand filters that are helping to bring clean water to communities around the world.

This fundraising campaign will help the #charitywater bring these solutions to those most in need.

100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they're completed, #charitywater will send photos and GPS coordinates so we can see exactly which community has been helped.

To show my commitment, I'm running Berlin Marathon in September. This means about 7 months of intense training, healthy eating (by far the worst part!), and almost no alcohol. By sharing my journey with you and hopefully completing the marathon, I hope to raise at least £2500, the equivalent of about 3,500,000 litres of clean, safe water.
