Help me celebrate my 27th birthday by giving the gift of clean water to those in need.

With each year I am given greater perspective on how blessed we are to live and thrive in the way that we do from swimming pools and faucets to having instant access to clean water. We seem to struggle with our luxuries and problems of privilege. All the while there are nearly 800 million humans who fight for life and nearly 2,200 children under the age of five who die each DAY due to waterborne illnesses and a lack of the most basic element of human life: clean water.

In a world filled with war, genocide, political oppression, deadly epidemics and loss of innocence, there is some peace in knowing the occurrence of some deaths and debilitating diseases can in fact be prevented.

100% of every dollar you donate to my birthday campaign will be used to build clean water projects in developing countries. Charity Water funds their operating costs through a separate group of private donors, so 100% of all public donations go directly to people in need.

As it has in the past few years, your generous donation to this cause has meant and continues to mean the world to me. As I've said before, there is no gift I could ask for that God hasn't given me already and there has been no bigger blessing in my heart than giving the gift of life to others who have nothing and no one to remember them in their struggle.
