Am I really turning 35?! This must mean it's time for my 3rd annual charity:water campaign! I wasn't sure if I was going to start another campaign this year, but I was over at my moms house the other day and she said, "oh don't drink out of that Brita, I haven't changed the filter and it's gross!" I quickly put the Brita away and the next thought that came to my mind was the families around the world who NEVER have clean water...EVER. I can't imagine what it would be like to know that my time here on earth was limited simply because I had to go without the most basic necessity. CLEAN WATER.

While we are drinking filtered water, running through sprinklers when it's hot, keeping the faucet running while we brush our teeth (ok I stopped that, promise), and taking a swim in a very clean lake....almost a billion people in the world are living without clean water. In fact, it's dirty. 30,000 people will die from water related diseases this week alone, and 4,500 of those people are children.

Instead of having a party or gifts for my birthday, I've decided I'd rather raise funds to give people access to clean and safe drinking water and I'm hoping you will help me reach my goal! My first annual campaign raised $1,000 and this last year we raised $2,456 together!!! WOW. I am blown away, humbled and thankful for your generosity. This year I am hoping to raise $3,500 for my 35th birthday!! The best part: 100% of every dollar you donate for my birthday wish will go directly toward water projects and your donation is also 100% tax deductible!

Now when someone asks you what you did today...you can say you gave 1 person clean water for 20 years. That's what $20 does!!! SO...pretty much you saved a life today! Thank you for your donation and for truly making my birthday matter. :)
