Hello! My name is Thomas
With my friend Zora (who organised this) and our other friends, I am walking 3 miles/5km on 24th March 2024 to raise money to help other children around the world who do not have access to clean water in their homes.
3 miles is the same distance that they have to walk on average to collect water from other places, like muddy or dried up streams. Then they have to carry the water all the way home.
Sometimes they can become ill drinking the dirty water they collect. They also can’t go to school because they have to walk so far to collect water instead.
I hope you will sponsor me to complete the challenge with my friends and help us raise a big pot of money that Charity Water can use to build fresh water taps or wells in villages, so other 5&6 year olds around the world can just concentrate on being kids!
