On October 6, 2012, my dear friend Michelle Golden celebrated her birthday by giving clean water to our brothers and sisters who walk miles every day for dangerously filthy water. She and I and our good friends Jeremy Reed Acton and Jamey Richards walked 14 miles on the MKT trail to Coopers Landing, where we enjoyed some delicious Thai food after "running on E" for a little while (ask Jeremy about that one :)) Best of all, much love and gratitude to our family and friends, 111 people now have clean water as a result of the $2228 that was raised. Those of you who know me know that I chose an excellent charity, charity: water, one with a motto: "WE WILL NOT STOP". Which is why my green daughter Sammy Jo is playing Santa this year and raising the remaining $2772 to complete our original goal of building a well for a village of 250 people. All who contribute will get to see the shining happy faces of those individuals who we helped, because charity water sends photos after the project is complete! And, you will be giving my iguana the best Christmas ever :)
