Weltweit leben 800 Millionen Menschen ohne Zugang zu sauberem Trinkwasser. Wir können das ändern!
Für uns ist es jeden Tag selbstverständlich, frisches Trinkwasser zu jeder Zeit zur Verfügung zu haben. Auch EMC stellt allen Mitarbeitern kostenloses Wasser zur Verfügung. Dabei ist es uns gar nicht bewusst, dass dieser Umstand für viele Menschen ein Luxus ist. In vielen Regionen der Welt steht noch unzähligen Menschen kein sauberes Trinkwasser zur Verfügung. Jeden Tag sterben 5.000 Kinder vor ihrem fünften Geburtstag an Krankheiten, die durch verunreinigtes Wasser verursacht wurden.
Das können wir jetzt ändern! Mit einfachen Mitteln können diese Menschen mit Trinkwasser versorgt werden, wie z.B. Brunnenbohrungen oder Biosand Filtern. Für nur 10.000 $ kann in Äthiopien ein kompletter Brunnen gebohrt und installiert werden, der 250 Menschen mit sauberem Trinkwasser versorgt.
Daher hat EMC diese Kampagne ins Leben gerufen, um die Organsisation Charity: Water mit Spenden zu unterstützen.
Wir freuen uns über jeden Beitrag, selbst die kleinste Spende hilft hier weiter! Während unserer Water Week vom 19. – 23. Mai stellen wir in den Kaffeeküchen in allen Lokationen Spendenbehälter auf. Die Idee ist, dass ihr eine Woche lang jedes Mal einen kleinen Betrag spendet, wenn ihr euch unserer kostenloses Wasser nehmt. Unser Ziel ist es, 10.000$ für unseren eigenen EMC Brunnen in Äthiopien zu erhalten. Wenn jeder Mitarbeiter von EMC in der Woche jeden Tag nur 1€ spendet, haben wir den Brunnen schon fast finanziert! EMC zahlt dann noch einmal den gleichen Betrag, den ihr bereits gespendet habt.
Selbstverständlich könnt ihr auch größere Beträge direkt über diese Homepage spenden.
100% des gespendeten Geldes wird für Clean Water Projects genutzt. Nach Abschluß des Projekts wird uns Charity: Water Bilder und GPS Koordinaten zur Verfügung stellen, damit wir genau sehen, welcher Gemeinde wir geholfen haben.
