Water is everything. Help us bring clean water to the thousands of people in Tigray, Ethiopia who need it most.

In the past, many efforts to give back have been organized in different places throughout EMC. Employees who participated often faced challenges with cross-functional coordination and proper support.

That all changes now. Welcome to EMC Gives Back.

Starting this year, EMC will sharpen its charity partner focus, working closely with organizations dedicated to improving a specific cause. To kick things off, EMC is partnering with charity: water, a non-profit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations. Founded in 2006 by Scott Harrison, it has helped fund 11,771 water projects in 22 countries, benefiting more than 4.1 million people. Its goal is to bring clean water to 100 million people by 2022.

The charity: water model is founded on 100% of public donations going straight to the field, working with strong local partners on the ground to build and maintain water projects and proving water projects through reporting.

Our goal is to raise awareness and funding for the installation of wells in Tigray, Ethiopia, an area where only 1/3 of residents have access to an improved water supply. This is an opportunity for all of us to rally behind a single cause with the belief that a unified effort can grow social impact exponentially.
