goal
Hi guys! This year, for my 12th birthday, I want to raise $1,200. Let's make that happen!
**********UPDATE********UPDATE***********UPDATE***********
Yay! You guys are so awesome! We've raised our goal of $1200 but don't let that stop you from donating! We can raise lots more! We just passed the $2000 mark and we've never done that before! If you haven't gotten a chance to join us, please still do! Every bit more helps lots more people in the world get clean water!!! Thanks again! Love you guys!!!

Right now, as you are reading this, there is a water tap flowing in a small town called Popokabaka in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the central part of Africa. This water tap serves up clean water to over 250 people every week. They drink it. They clean with it. Most of all, they don’t worry that it will make them sick.
Here is the crazy thing. The people of Popokabaka drink clean water because a bunch of my friends and family all took a few minutes three years ago to donate a little bit of money on my 9th birthday when I did my very first Charity: water campaign. (If you want to see more about this well and the proof of where it is, click the link below.)

Wow. Amazing, huh? Look what we did!
This is my fourth year doing a Charity: water campaign, and I’m so excited I get to do it again! It is beyond amazing to know that, together, we can make more clean water flow and that lots more people can get it because of all of your donations.
Charity:water builds water wells to help people who don’t have clean water in their country or area. I’ve learned that if these people don’t have clean water to drink, it can cause sickness, dehydration, or sometimes even death. About a billion people in the world are living with dirty water, and every 19 seconds, a mother loses a child to a water-related illness. I know that I take clean water for granted. Let’s help others have what comes so easily to us.
This year, instead getting presents from my friends and family, I’m asking them to donate to my 12th birthday campaign. You can give $12 (which is one dollar for each year of my life). $20, $120 or whatever you want! This year, my goal is to raise $1,200. If you want to donate, you can hit the green DONATE button on the top left of this webpage.
Also, take a second to watch the video at the bottom of this page. You'll learn a lot like I did!
Thank you for donating, helping me celebrate another year of life, and bringing clean water to someone in the world!!!!
