Dear friends & family,

I'm thrilled to share that the Becher and Brodsky families are embarking on a year of generosity together. Every member of our family has chosen to give up birthday gifts this year, and instead raise money for charity: water, an organization that is near and dear to our hearts.

Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty; we have plenty of water to drink, but diseases from unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war.

Michael and I are launching a joint campaign since our birthdays are only 8 days apart - July 29 and August 6. If you find it in your heart to make a contribution, we'll be honored and grateful! We are setting a modest goal of $390, since this Labor Day will mark our 39th wedding anniversary. Any dollar amount will be greatly appreciated.

Every dollar helps and 100% of the money donated will directly fund clean water projects. When the work is complete charity: water will send every person who gives GPS coordinates, photos and information about the exact communities we helped.
