This year I'm turning 93, and I’d like to make that possible for more people. 93 is more than twice the average life expectancy of people living in Sub-Saharan African.
In developing countries, thousands of people get sick from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation, and about 1,400 children die every day.
Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink -- even the water in our toilets is clean! But many people around the world don’t have that luxury.
So this year I'm doing something about it. In fact, my whole family has committed to donate our birthdays this year to help end the water crisis.
I started this fundraising campaign to help charity: water build clean water projects around the world, and I'm looking for anyone who can help me.
Please donate to my campaign -- anything you can give is a huge help.
100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
Great cause!
Bubbe, you are a survivor. With your inspiration you lead the way for all of us, helping others to survive challenging circumstances as well. We love you!
We love you Bubby.
great project!
