My 18th birthday wish is Clean Water for All!
It all started 8 years ago when I first learned about charity: water. At that time, 1.1 billion people on the planet did not have access to clean drinking water. Now, that number is 663 million. How amazing is that!
Water is crucial and essential to all forms of life.
I am always asked why am I so passionate about the global water crisis. It made me reflect on my life and most importantly the unsung heroes who have supported me and my passion unconditionally. I wouldn't be where I am today without the best parents a daughter could ever ask for, family members, adopted family members who have stepped up throughout my life, friends, teachers, and ultimately my community and school. My life is not one of the average teenager, but when compared to that of girls living in developing nations, how dare I ever complain? This has been my perspective that kept me positive through all the obstacles in my life.
No greater birthday gift could I ever receive than to share the gift of water to those who thirst and struggle every single day. $18 will help save lives and provide education to girls. Please donate to my birthday campaign.
100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they're complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates to we can see the exact community we helped.
