My birthday is almost here. This year, I turn 15. I am so joyful and humbled to announce that this is my 4th year of fundraising for charity: water. My journey with charity: water has given me perspective to not take water and life for granted. I was also taught this lesson: it is better to fulfill others needs rather than your own wants.

Look into your heart. 4,100 kids will die each day from water-related diseases. We have water fountains in all stores and schools. We have public bathrooms in gas stations, libraries, and stores. Can you imagine going to school and not having a bathroom? What about not going to school at all because you walk more than three hours a day to collect water that will make you sick? We are blessed beyond measure each time we wash our hands. Let's save lives together!

I'm asking for donations in denominations of $15 from those who want to help support my campaign. Or better yet, you might be inspired to give up your birthday and holiday gifts/wants and start a campaign as well. Every penny of the money raised will directly fund clean water projects in developing countries. Even better, charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 18 months). That means we'll know the locations and names of the communities we helped.
