Absolutely. However, we cannot provide tax receipts to anonymous donors. Tax receipts can only be prepared for supporters who log a donation and provide an email address.
The simple answer is yes—in most cases. Our team will prepare tax receipts for any donor who logs a donation and provides an email address. If you donate anonymously, we will not be able to provide you with a tax receipt.
More specifically, all crypto donations are made to our US-registered charity. Charity Global, Inc. is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization in the USA and a registered public benefit organization (ANBI) in The Netherlands. US and Dutch donors are able to take tax deductions for donations to Charity Global, Inc. to the extent permitted by law. Donors based outside the US and The Netherlands should consult with a qualified advisor regarding the tax or equivalent rules covering deductibility in their applicable non-US jurisdiction.

Yes, we accepted our first bitcoin in 2014 and 569 BTC total before the inception of the Bitcoin Water Trust. Historically, direct crypto donations were immediately converted to fiat and used for clean water projects. If requested, donations were occasionally used to pay for operational costs.
Net of any transaction fees, we will use 100% of your remaining crypto donation to fund clean water projects.
