I have known Scott since before he started charity: water… NYC life, parties, fame and fun… He would talk about his trips to the continent of Africa and then a birthday party would change Scott's, and hundreds of thousands of people's lives, forever - the beginning of charity: water.
We forget how important clean water is because we have clean water, we forget how important health is because we have health. We are lucky but some are not… Why do we forget?
We were born on the ‘right side of the world’ we fill our lives with so many unnecessary things because we have everything - but let’s remember the most precious, life-giving gift, clean water. How do we look at tap water? What do we use it for? I use it to brush my teeth, I use it to wash my clothes, the floor and the windows of my house or to wash my body. For years I have been trying to reduce the water I use, thinking that at least will help. I have told my daughters since they were able to understand that water is precious. To brush their teeth without letting the water run, I remind them every day to take a quick shower because water is precious.
Yes, we all love to take big baths and long warm showers but we are lucky and could stop using what is not necessary and leave it for other people who deeply need it. I have always been trying to have an impact but felt it was too small…As a DJ, I finally realised that I could have a bigger impact. I email Scott about my will to support charity: water through all my gigs at festivals and club nights. I am so happy to have found a way to support better finally, I am proud to be part of the project and save families, children, pregnant women, men and women that fight for better health and deeply deserve it.

We believe that sustainable work is locally-led. Along with implementing community-owned water projects, our local partners help facilitate comprehensive water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) programming to protect everyone’s long-term health.
