Water is the new oil. The shortages are going to become dramatic, in large part since our Western eating habits, now spreading to rest of the world, cause 600 gallons of water to be used for each quarter pound hamburger (not counting the cheese), and 2,400 gallons for each pound of meat. Now, Third World countries are using their water to raise livestock for export, when there is not enough water for their own people. (And on top of all that, livestock causes more global warming than does all of transportation!) And no ones cares it would seem, but perhaps the folks giving here are at least becoming aware of it all.
