Dear friends and relatives,
Once again this year I am using my birthday as a catalyst to increase the number of fellow human beings who have access to clean water.
Over the years, several of you have asked me why I support charity: water. My answer is simple. Clean water is the most fundamental element of a person's life. It changes everything. It is a difficult notion to grasp for those of us who never have to think about clean water. If food, shelter, and clothing are the basic human needs, I put food first, and water above all else. Water is life.
I am raising $470 to celebrate my 47th birthday. As a gift to myself, I am donating the first $47. If we reach this goal together, I will add another $18 for "chai".
