Every day, 1,400 Children under the age of 5 die from water-related illnesses.

Many of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. Maybe on a hot summer day we say "I'm dying of thirst." but are we really? Can we really mean that? Thankfully, We have plenty of water to drink and can find it just about anywhere -- even the water in our toilets is clean!

Many people around the world don’t have this luxury. Every day, 1,400 Children die from water-related illnesses before they reach their fifth birthday. Their 5th Birthday! Can you imagine if you were a parent, or maybe you are, and you could not give your child a drink of water, bathe them, clean their clothes or cook their food? There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand Filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.

One thing that We, Micah and Bryan, will not take for granted are the moments each day where we are able to find clean water to fill up our bottles and camelbaks. It is the single most essential tool to our survival. With experience living in African Countries, We both understand the real need for access to not only water, but clean water and both have felt led to start this fundraising campaign to bring change to peoples lives around the world and hope that you will join with us and support this cause.

We chose $5,471 as our goal because That is how many Kilometers together we are Riding. Our trip from Seattle to San Diego is 2,735.5 Kilometers multiplied by two people riding = 5,471 Kilometers. We know this is a High Goal but we believe it will happen!

The Coolest Part? 100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped!!!
