My birthday is just a few days away ! So exciting isn’t it ? And you know what ? I’m eighteen !! I’m going to be an adult…with responsibilities and…even though it might be really scary, I want to start right now to be a grown-up. I want to take responsibility, now.
So this year, instead of giving me gifts, please help me raise money for those in need.

When I first heard of Charity: water I read everything I could about it because it seemed really important to me. I’ve always been someone who cares about others but I used to just read things about NGOs, how to help…and since I was a « child » I thought I couldn’t do so much more than be aware of what happens outside of my comfort zone. But a few months ago I started realizing I am no longer a child, and I have to take action. And you can too. Help me growing up. Now I want to be a part of it. I want to change things, I want to help and I realized that having a lot of things is not what matters most in life. People matter. Things don’t.

I would like you to help me raise money in order to help people get access to clean water. Water is vital, but you already knew that, it is so simple for us to just turn on the tap that we don’t even imagine how many people live without it every-single-day. 800 million. 800 million people still don’t have access to clean water. Well, now you know why I decided to start a campaign.

Since it’s my 18 (so it’s reeeeaaaalllyyy significant in France!) you can give $18 (! hey french people !you know what? $18 is just 13€ in fact!). But of course you can give more ! And, bonus, by giving $18 I’m pretty sure you will spend so much less money than if you bought me a present, don’t you think ?

If, say, 100 people donate just $18 to the cause, I’d reach my goal !
It’s as easy as it sounds and it could make a big difference in some people’s lives !
