We met 10 years ago while in the Peace Corps in Africa. Since then we've been committed to making a positive difference in the world, in whatever way we can.
Our focus and strategy change from time to time but recently we've been pretty concerned about the water situation around the world.

Living in Africa gave us first-hand experience with the difficulties brought on by an inadequate water supply.

- Walking hours every day just to get water to drink.
- Students missing out on school so that they can fetch water and help out at home.
- Unthinkable numbers of people getting sick from waterborne diseases, missing school and work, and draining their resources.
- Surviving on a single 5-gallon bucket of water per day (cooking, cleaning, drinking...)

So when we learned about Charity: Water, we thought, "This is it!" We had to join in and start a campaign to raise money for clean drinking water. It is a basic human need and more than a billion people on the planet don't have access to it.

So we want to help build a well and make a lasting impact on the lives of a community. We're raising $5,000 to do this, and every cent you give will go directly towards the well project.
We only have until 1/12/2010.

Please join us in providing years of clean water to people in the developing world. After our campaign has finished we will even be able to track the community that we affected using GPS technology and photos posted on Google Earth.
