Every day, 5,000 kids under the age of 5 die from water-related illnesses. Let's help change that!
My birthday has come and gone. I rarely celebrate it; typically I run from it. I don't typically care about getting older, but this year I'm really thankful to have lived another happy, healthy year and hitting 40. Keri and I will be welcoming our newest addition to the family any day now and as I reflect on my family, and all we have I have decided we should celebrate that. But I want to celebrate by giving instead. My kids and I are blessed, but millions of kids around the world don't live to see their fifth birthday because they don't have access to clean, safe drinking water. We are going to help change that.
I'm asking for everyone I know to donate $5. With over 700 friends on facebook alone, we should be able to raise $4,000 without batting an eye. So lets get '4k for 40'. Every penny of the money raised will directly fund clean water projects in developing countries. Even better, charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 18 months). That means we'll know the locations and names of the communities we helped.
Help me reach my goal. Please donate to my birthday campaign!
