I look forward to spring each year. It’s not only time for my birthday it also means summer is just around the corner promising days of fun in the sun, ice creams, beaches and long cool showers.

This year I learnt that much of the world lives without clean water. That was surprising, because the world around me not only has clean water to drink but has enough to wash cars, water lawns, play with water balloons, swim in water parks and when tired and thirsty reach out to clear bottles of water!

I learnt that over 1 billion people in the world (whom I don't see every day) do not have clean safe water. Over 400 million children like me do not have clean water to drink. Many die due to scary diseases and the ones that survive continue to walk miles to collect contaminated water that is harmful. Without clean water these children cannot live healthy lives and attend school, have their parents around to help them or even share a smile with a friend. Clean water can change everything for a community.

My birthday wish this year is to help raise money that can provide people with clean and safe water. Instead of adding more toys to my collection, I ask you for your help to build fresh water wells. Please consider contributing to my campaign, because without you it cannot be done.
