We are the fourth Ride for Water team to cycle across the U.S., raising money for charity: water to build water projects across the globe.
We are passionate about educating others about the global water crisis and inspiring change. With five women on our team, we are also honored to advocate for women, whose lives are primarily affected by the water crisis.
Every day, women and young girls spend hours a day gathering dirty water. About 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. Children miss out on school and adults miss out on starting businesses because they are missing a fundamental human necessity.
But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world!
You can help today by giving to Ride for Water, and helping charity: water build these types of projects around the world.
100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped. We want to bring 2,666 people clean water. Ready to make a change?
Thank you again to those who helped us get here. We are honored to have been a part of this cause.
To my ride for water family, thank you! Here's to trying to make a difference in this world and to everyone that thinks we're crazy for trying. To the 6 guys that put up with me for 50 days, I love you. Thanks for showing grace when I almost lost my mind. Thanks for encouraging me when Gio and I when we struggled to find housing. Thank you for riding your bike across the country for the cause we all care deeply about. To the 7 craziest girls I have ever met, all of you are bad ass. I couldn't have pictured a better women's team. From naked miles to communication coordinators, I always had a good time when both our teams were together. Thank you for biking for this cause and for finding us dope hotels to sleep in. I can't believe we actually did this!
This is for the women and children that I pray are given a chance to go to school, discover their talents and what they love, and more than anything know they are worth SO much more than hours spent collecting water. Here is to a future where every individual knows they are capable and talented and can pursue what they love.
And here is to the team of men and women that forever became my family. Here is to Dixon, Illinois. Here is to Millican, Oregon. Here is to Driggs, Idaho. Here is to Rebecca. Here is to the naked mile. Here is to a group of the strongest women I know. Here is to a group of the kindest women I know. Here is to all the turtle roadkill. Here is to the badger Jac killed. Here is to getting out of Nebraska. Here is to subway. Here is to DQ. Here is to Berkley and Maria. Here is to Teton Valley Dave. Here is to leaving Ashlee asleep in the Mexican restaurant. Here is to Wyoming having the worst Mexican food. Here is to Mark and Sheen. Here is to Big Ness. Here is to hitting the first thousand miles. Here is to our final summit.
A million times over, thanks to the people that supported making this ride happen, supported us during the ride, and have generously donated to this campaign to give others a better life.
Ride For Water 2016, you have given us a drive and a purpose, a family across the US, and a chance to be a part of a great adventure that is changing lives.
I love you guys.
Ps. I am so winning survivor pool
