On February 6th I attempted my first 100-mile ultramarathon, the famous Rocky Raccoon in Huntsville, TX.
I competed 80 miles before stopping because of an aching right Achilles, a lost toe nail, spasms in my quads, I was shivering, nauseous, and popped a mighty blister worthy of respect and honor.
Now, on March 26th I will again try to finish 100 miles in under 30 hours, and this time in stunning Moab, Utah.
Why? To be blunt, because I am appalled to learn unclean water is the number one killer in the world. I find this unacceptable, especially considering how preventable and affordable it is to stop this cowardly killer. Only $20 hydrates a thirsty soul for 20 years.
I praise charity:water for not talking, but acting. I have now been inspired to do the same. My passion is fueled and I will not quit until the thirsty are quenched.
We all have talents from God. I will dedicate my gift of endurance to run for those desperately running, not for a finish line, but literally for survival.
Please donate and help me reach my goal. More importantly, create your own campaign and join the team. Now is the time, not later.
One life. No regrets. Save lives.
