Most all of us have experienced it at one time or another. You're out enjoying a nice birthday dinner and suddenly four, five, six waiters in sombreros, carrying a slice of cake with candles, gather round your table, clapping and singing "Happy Birthday!" It's sooo embarrassing. It's sweet. It’s Mortifying. OHHH god, it's nice to be celebrated, but get me the hell out of here. I’m not a fan of birthdays,so this year I decided to do something different. I’m giving up my birthday to raise money for charity: water and provide clean water to people that need it.

On February 8th, I’ll be turning 22 “inshallah” and I’m just so grateful to see this day come. I want other people and children to see this day too. My goal is only $500. I know it’s not much, but it gives water to 25 people/ 5 families. You can donate as low as $5 and it would honestly mean the world to me.

Did you know that 884 million people in the world do not have access to safe water? This is roughly one in eight of the world's population. 2.6 billion People in the world do not have access to adequate sanitation; this is almost two fifths of the world's population. 1.4 million Children die every year as a result of diseases caused by unclean water and poor sanitation. This amounts to around 4,000 deaths a day or one every 20 seconds. Your donations can literally save a child, and stop you from complaining on how impossible I am to buy a gift for. LOL.

The money goes directly to build freshwater projects for people in developing countries. Nothing to me. Thank you Thank you Thank you.
