This is the 5th time I've given up my birthday for charity: water. And in those 5 September Campaigns, we've raised over $100,000 for clean water because my friends are very, very generous.
This year the charity: water team want to see people do something 'crazy' to raise money for clean water. So if I've raised $32,000 by the end of my 32nd birthday on September 18, I'll climb Half Dome in Yosemite in a Speedo.
It's a crazy big number. I'm not quite sure we can reach it, but maybe if we move fast: because right now every donation is matched and doubled.
I worked for charity: water for 5 years and saw first hand the impact clean water makes. The picture at the top of this page is of a family I was with in Rwanda last year who had their life completely transformed due to a $15,000 tap in their village.
