Friends & family - thank you for making it to this page!
A couple of years ago, I came across "charity: water" after reading Scott Harrison’s book “Thirst” and learned about the global water crisis: 785 million people in the world live without clean water.
It’s scary and a tough pill to swallow. Most of these people spend hours collecting water everyday, leaving them out of school, jobs and other opportunities. Not only that, often the water they collect is contaminated with diseases.
With the spread of COVID-19, it’s ever more important for these communities to have access to clean water in order to wash their hands as a line of defense against the virus.
Charity: water is an awesome organization aiming to solve this problem by funding water projects in developing countries. They partner with local organizations to build sustainable, community-owned projects.
We all love transparency (especially millennials) - 100% of public donations go directly to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water sends photos and GPS coordinates of the exact community impacted.
As I turn 25 years young today, I’m hoping to raise $1,000 with your help to bring clean water to 25 people!
Browse through their website to learn about their amazing work (https://www.charitywater.org/global-water-crisis), and join me if you can (:
Thank you so much for your contributions, and I hope to see you all soon!
