Why Nathan Poekert is fundraising for clean water

I'm turning 27. Officially out of the mid-20's and into my late-20's. Leading up to this date, I often think about what I have and what I have and haven't accomplished professionally, personally, artistically, spiritually... the list goes on.

But then I realize that no matter what I accomplish in my life, I'll always have the basic things that I take for granted every day. Things like clothes, housing, education, food and something as small as clean water. I live in one of the most expensive cities in the world and therefore am vastly "rich" and taken care of.

Last year, I didn't really do anything for my birthday. This year, I want to do something big.

$5,000 is a lot of money to ask for, but I operate under a premise of think realistically but dream big. $5,000 is the average amount necessary to fund a water project for an entire community in Central Africa. It will change their lives.

Please consider donating. If you only have $2.70 or have $2,700, 100% of all of your donations will go to fund the water project. It won't go towards any CEO's salary or even to Pens for the Charity: Water office. 100% of your donation will fund a water project for the Bayaka Community in Central Africa. It will give them a new lease on life. A hope.

Please play the video on the right to learn why I'm doing this and why you should too.

Thanks,
NP
