goal
Every day, 1,400 kids under the age of 5 die from water-related illnesses. We can change that!
My birthday is right around the corner, and the fact is, there's nothing I need. I live a happy, comfortable life, and among the things I take for granted on a daily basis, I'd say the biggest one is water. There are millions of people living without clean water in the world, and many of them are dying because of it.
I'm asking for donations of any size from everyone I know. Every penny of the money raised will directly fund clean water projects in developing countries. Even better, charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 21 months). That means we'll know the locations and names of the communities we helped.
I'm turning 25 this year, AND it's my golden birthday (July 25th), so my goal is $2,500 for this campaign. This may be ambitious, but I have 1,071 Facebook friends. If each friend donated $2 or $3, I'd get to my goal in no time!
In lieu of presents this year, I'm asking for this.
Help me reach my goal. Please donate to my birthday campaign!

Happy Birthday! Although I don't know you, based on what I can see from your selfless act, it's clear we need more people like you in the world :) Keep up the good work!
Happy birthday!!
