When I first heard that women and girls in developing countries are usually the ones responsible to walk for hours everyday, breaking their backs and sacrificing their education, to carry 40 pounds of jerry cans to provide their families with water - that is not even clean, it was impossible for me to ignore this issue. It was even harder when I learned that dirty water is responsible for more death in the world than any form of violence, including war. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.
That is why as a graduating student I would love for you to join me in celebrating my college achievements by helping charity: water build these types of projects around the world. My hope is that everyone in the planet has access to clean water, and that more women and girls are able to pursue their education, just like I was.
Please donate to my campaign -- anything you can give is a huge help.
100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.

Thank you so much!
Muchas Gracias!
