____
Five years ago, there were over 1 billion people without access to clean, safe drinking water.
Five years ago, Swedish pop artist Robyn once again captivated the dance world with a massive comeback, a killer music video and a Grammy Award for Music Video of the Year.
Today, 663 million people don’t have access to clean water.
Today, Robyn is still amazing. This song is still amazing.
This September, I will dance to this song every day.
This September, it’s not crazy to dance to Robyn’s "Call Your Girlfriend” on my own*. Every. Single. Day.
That’s right. I will dance to Robyn's Call Your Girlfriend every day and make a video of it. It’s not going to be perfect. But by September 30th, it just might be.
Donate and help people gain access to life’s most basic need. Or, just donate and watch me dance my heart out.
Thank you again to everyone who donated to Robyn Every Day. It is crazy (ha, nothing is crazy) to imagine that this fundraising campaign was two years ago.
I fondly remember rolling and gyrating at the checkout counter of a Duane Reade and a Shake Shack and a Italian street festival and a train museum and so on and so on.
It was a lot. But, I couldn't have done it without your support. And look, after two years so much has happened. I'm still dancing (below) and most importantly 982 people in Mizimba and Thomossene communities (see above) in Mozambique now have access to clean water. Thank you to the donors, partner organizations and communities for making that happen.
Here's a little two year update. Yes, I did dance to Robyn at my own wedding through it's widely known that my Chloe knows the moves better than me: https://youtu.be/OP3hzm3drnw
Love the videos!
You rock Mike! Love the compilation video.
Thank you all for supporting this campaign and my quest to dance on my own.
I wanted to share one last video. Happy holidays and thank you all so very much! To Robyn, to dance and to more clean water!
Cheers,
Mike
Great moves ;)
