one in eight people in the world [1 billion people] do not have access to clean water. i am not okay with that. this week, 45,000 will die from the simple fact that they don't have clean water. sure, some won't die, but instead, they will spend HOURS every day obtaining dirty, disease-filled water for their families.

a billion people?! it can be overwhelming. BUT, i refuse for it to be anymore. i know without a shadow of a doubt that you & i can provide clean water for a whole community. a well for 250 people. clean water. life. hope.

I'm turning 31 years old & i want nothing more than to provide this water to a people that desperately need it. i'm praying that the well goes to my beloved Uganda, but i KNOW that it will go where it is most needed.

will you help me? help them? i'm asking for $31 [or more] from everyone I know. ALL of it is going to build freshwater wells for people in developing nations. to build a well for this community, we only need 161 people to give the $31. can't wait to see the list of the 160 people who are partnering with me to give life.

please note: Because of charity: water's unique model, 100% of all donations go directly to direct water projects costs, and each donation is "proved" and tracked to the village it helped when projects are complete. we will all get to see our actual well when it is complete. i'm so excited, i can hardly stand it.
