Most of us have no idea what it's like to be thirsty. We have easy access to plenty of water, and we never doubt that the water we drink and cook with is clean and safe!
But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. Women and children spend hours every day collecting water, and it prevents them from being able to work and attend school. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world.
Many of you know that I have an incredible role model right here in my own family... a young man who started fundraising campaigns for charity:water at age 8, and who has given up birthday gifts SEVEN YEARS IN A ROW to help build clean water projects around the world. Inspired by his big heart, I'm following in his footsteps for my 50th birthday.
Please donate to my campaign -- anything you can give is a huge help. Every $30 donated will bring clean water to one person for life!
100% of the money will be used to build clean water projects, and when they’re complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.
an additional $50 has been donated through my company
