Access to clean water in many impoverished areas of the world is nonexistent to a large degree. At a young age, when I would visit my grandparents in the village of the East African country of Kenya, they along with many of their neighbors had to walk many kilometers in order to get water from a river...that water of course wasn't clean by any stretch of the imagination.

I, too, was put to task to go fetch water with other cousins of mine with a wheelbarrow, only to discover that the water was contaminated with debris. Therefore, those memories have fueled me over the years to help make a difference if able and I would love for you all, your friends, family and colleagues to help make an impact in providing clean water to those around the world that need it most.

To make this process an interestingly fun challenge, whatever your age is, I'm kindly asking you to contribute that amount, although considering various financial circumstances, you may give whatever you can afford.

Every penny of the money raised will directly fund clean water projects in developing countries. Even better, charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 18 months). That means we'll know the locations and names of the communities we helped.
