I hope this finds you well and blessed. The number 40 has caught up with me.
I know for myself I have been ‘overblessed’. I have decided to donate my birthday and to encourage all of us to share in the blessings in loving and giving.
There are many issues in this world that are dear to my heart. Amongst those are health, clean water, microfinance, ending world hunger, and orphan care. Sometimes in life, the initiative to do something is all it takes to make a significant difference in a precious person's life.
Thank you for your support and friendship!
Here's a thought to ponder...
1. 1 billion people live without any thought of where their next meal is going to come from. They take food and water for granted (perhaps you and me)
2. 1 billion people live not knowing where their next meal will come from and where their next clean water will come from (Africa, Southeast Asia, Latin America)
3. $40 billion/year is the estimate to end world hunger by the United Nations.
4. If the 'well off' 1 billion gave $40/year to the 'not well off' 1 billion, it would go a long way toward ending world hunger and the water crisis.
