OK, I'm not actually 54, I am actually 53, but I hear that women always lie about their age, so I lied. For the past couple of years I've been thinking about how we human beings can make a positive difference to our world. All of my life I've been doing my part here, but I finally made a list of the biggest challenges facing the world. The #1 is access to clean drinking water. (If you want to know the other 6 on my list you can come over and discuss it over a bottle of wine. It's too depressing to list them all here!)
Anyhow, a couple of years ago, inspired by a team project in a workshop I was teaching for a wonderful client of mine called "Kuraray", I started donating to CharityWater.org. This year my birthday is a chance to make a difference to the over 1 billion human beings who don't have access to clean drinking water. For each one of them, their situation is urgent. By the time you finish reading this many of them will have died. I can't even think about it without feeling overwhelmed. Each step forward matters. Thank you for caring and for making a positive difference on Planet Earth!
Kimberly. Sorry it took so long. HAPPY FRICKIN BIRTHDAY! I LOVE YOU!! Your Baby Bro!
By a personal experience in Africa, I have realized how drilling rig can make the difference for people who need access to safe water. I am so glad you gave me the opportunity to wish you a happy birthday that way. Thanks a lot.
Thanks for all you do to make this a better world!
I jazzed about celebrating my birthday by making a difference to thousands of people without access to clean drinking water!
