This year, I'm celebrating a number-that-ends-in-zero birthday. Yes. THIS IS 40.
The best way to help me celebrate of my birthday is for my friends and family to donate to charity: water. You can give clean water to people who need it.
And as a special personal thank you, I'll send each donor an mp3 of an unreleased, acoustic-only pre-production version of my original song "Colorado River." Just let send me an email with your preferred e-mail address so I can send it along! My email address is: kim at kimjenningsmusic dot com.
I learned about charity: water when I attended the World Domination Summit last summer. Hearing the story of this organization, how it came to be, and the personal impact it has on so many people changed me. I resolved to give up my birthday for charity:water that day. I don't want to forget about the almost-billion people on the planet don’t have access to clean drinking water.
I learned that every day, 5,000 kids die from water-related illnesses before they reach their fifth birthday. I heard stories that broke my heart.
I learned that there are solutions! I saw pictures of the drills going to drill wells. I saw pictures of water coming from new faucets. I saw pictures of faces filled with joy at the first sight of clean running water!
When you donate to charity: water, ***100% of every dollar you donate*** to my birthday campaign will be used to build clean water projects in developing countries.
This is brilliant: charity: water funds their operating costs separately through a group of private donors, so 100% of all public donations will go directly to people in need.
Help me make this birthday my best ever -- donate to my campaign!
